Team Synergy competed against approximately 350 racers today and Kyle and Bean took 1st place in 2 person team category, and Calvin took 4th place in solo division! Crazy day, we finished in under 6 hours and had a 300 foot rappel in the middle of it! We flew down so fast the people checking us at the rappel burnt their hands on our ropes and gear. It was a super intense race with battles going back and forth all day long. It totaled 38 miles on the mountain bike, 7 miles on the run, and a 6 mile kayak. Kyle, the ultra triathlete, won his first race and excelled in all facets; Calvin killed it on the bike; and I managed to eat a lot of food and drink a lot of water! Looking forward to the next race.... May 15th San Luis Obispo!
